About This Game Omni Link is a visual novel at it's core, but it's unlike other visual novels you've read before. Game-play and dialogue choices mesh together so you can see a real impact to your decisions. A story is not only about reading, it's about experiencing. After the prologue, the game takes you on a mission for Zaos Corporation. You encounter an alien vessel and connect with an entity known as Ectype D-7, an attractive and powerful being of technology. You quickly learn that there is more to this ship and A.I. than meets the eye. The artificial intelligence is so advanced she is able to absorb energy from other ships and duplicate them. As well as use a mysterious ability called Omni Link.Match your abilities against a faceless terror. An enemy called "The Virus" awakens near the edge of the galaxy. Suns are disappearing and planets are dying. No one knows exactly what the Virus is or what it wants. I am pleasantly surprised by this game. The art is fantastic, the battle is easier to get used to than Endless Sky, the music is space relaxing and the worst problem I have with the game (other than the save... I suppose that will be remedied in the future) is trying to grab monies (please make them easier to pick up, it's exasperating trying to reposition to grab them when they have such small hitboxes). I am kinda worried how much content the full game will have because... well it really isn't too much at the moment. The title screen can look prettier and I can't Alt+F4 out of the game in full screen. Characters fawn over the MC a bit too easily... but this is Early Access. I look forward to its full release.Also, let's have a melee weapon on our ship. I recall a Unity jam I went to where someone made a 2D space game with ships wielding lightsabers. It was awesome.. So far im loving this game, this the first game i ever bought on steam and im not regretting my choice one bit, the art is fantastic and the game play engaging, and while the story is not completely original(nothing is nowadays) its still unique enough to be entertaining.. I've rarely review Early Access games, but this one stuck with me enough to spur me into action. It fills a niche I've sought after for a while: a good Visual Novel with equally solid gameplay mechanics. It plays a good bit like the 'Escape Velocity' series of games, but with a much better interface for story and choices. The art is gorgeous, the story engaging, and the gameplay is satifying in both depth and challenge. If any of what I said sounds up your alley, I highly recommend supporting Omni Link!. An awesome game that combines space esploration\/combat and a visual novel,this title shines it's the impressive visuals,both the locations you'll explore and characters you'll meet look great,the music is excellent as well and the gameplay is great as well,fighting solo on your ship or summoning many computer controlled ships,after you've collected via story events and quest to wipe the enemies feels great,lastly although the script needs a bit of proofreading the story is solid and the main characters are very endearing and after playing for a while you'll feel involved with the story and characters.. just complete the current version taking around five hours to do.the art and music is fantastic. the ship combat is great. only problem when you lose one of the ships that you cant buy there gone and can get it back.the characters amazing.and i know its not finsihed but the only major problem is getting more ships,a few typos and the rumor options.wish there was more in it but il just have to wait.il be looking forward to the rest of the story .. This is a very interesting game with their very own Manga!Apart of that, the game use a old school ship fighting game style with the plus of a great plot with some rogue-like components and a wide variety of ships to morph (play and you will understand). I usually don't play Visual Novels, and I don't really like them much. So I wish this was more of a space shooter and less of a Visual Novel, but it works surprisingly well like this anyway.It's very story focused, since it's a VN. And I kinda think I played the space part a bit "wrong".The idea is that you got this awesome high-tech ship that can change forms and create a fleet (AI controls the other ships)While you just fly one ship, old school. There are big fleet battles and all, and it's obviously designed that you summon those AI ships. But I tend to just fly solo and kill everything myself (Played on Hard, didn't try Extreme) - so I think I didn't experience the game as it was meant.But the space shooter was just the side dish anyway, so it probably doesn't matter much.============The Visual Novel part of the game is pretty good too. I liked the story, the art is beautiful and the music was great, too.But like I said before, I don't really like Visual Novels, they're just not my cup of tea. If you like Visual Novels, you probably get a lot more out of this game than me. It's a pretty short game and that's the way I like it. Omni Link is an great game with a good main story.You need to choose some choices but they don't have big influences in the story right now.The story is beautiful designed but it needs more quests and side stories. Right now you nearly jumping from one mission to the next.To the story: You are Keb somehow the destiny drives you to meet "Dawn" a kind of Cyborg\/AI that will change your whole life you meet dangerous troubles, pepoal and new allies. What will the future hold up for you ? Will you change the fate of the galaxy ?The Spaceships are interesting designed some even have cool special features, but the controls isn't that smooth as it should be. Sometimes im asking myself why does AI doing a better job in spacefights than the player.The world looks a bit empty there should be more random events and more different spaceships.If you playing on the now highest degree of difficulty, it's still a bit too easy but with some adjustments it could be heavier.Sound designing is good but sometimes it could happen that there is no music nor sound and only after a few minutes it switches on again.I recommend it for the kind of player that wants to have a great main story.If you still unsure follow this product or buy it in a sale.[7.8\/10] PointsSomething i would like to have as DLC is the song in the Trailer with all soundtracks and the art book.(Share your opinion in the comments if you like)
